Keeping Charlestown Healthy

St. Catherine Regional Hospital closed in 2015, leaving the Charlestown community without a hospital for several years. Now Anderson Partners is assisting in completing an updated facility that will include urgent care services, radiology, and lab facilities. Those involved in the project hope both the jobs and the medical care will improve the community as a whole.

(Posted to newsandtribune.com January 25, 2018) A group of local health care professionals have fresh plans for the former St. Catherine Regional Hospital in Charlestown, which has been empty since 2015. Jayesh Sheth, a Sellersburg-based doctor and chairman of the health care company, Dhvaj Inc., bought the hospital in March 2015 and is working on opening it to patients, under the name North Clark Community Hospital, sometime this year, according to the Dhvaj website. Dhavj officials declined to comment for this story.
